1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and dOCR, Inc. (“dOCR”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your access to and use of the dOCR document-extraction service, websites, dashboard, and API (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. The Services

dOCR provides software that extracts structured data from documents using optical character recognition and large language models. You upload documents and receive structured output through the dashboard or API. Features and limits vary by plan.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials and API keys secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Authentication is provided through Clerk.

4. Plans, usage, and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Each plan includes a monthly page allowance (50, 600, 3,000, or 8,000 pages). Usage above your allowance is billed at your plan’s published overage rate. Each individual upload is limited to ≤15 pages and ≤10MB. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from within the application; changes take effect according to your billing cycle.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Services to violate any law, infringe the rights of others, upload content you do not have the right to process, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Services, or exceed or circumvent rate limits and access controls.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the documents and data you submit (“Your Content”). You grant dOCR a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide the Services. You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and permissions for any documents you upload.

7. Intellectual property

The Services, including their software, design, and content other than Your Content, are owned by dOCR or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you no rights to our trademarks or branding.

8. Third-party services

The Services integrate third-party providers, including Clerk, Stripe, Cloudinary, Vercel AI Gateway, and MongoDB. Your use of those providers may be subject to their own terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Extraction results are generated by automated systems and may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, dOCR will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Services.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms or to protect the Services. You may stop using the Services and cancel your account at any time.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
